Actress Rani Mukerji's father Ram Mukherjee has died in Mumbai at around 4 am on Sunday, reports news agency PTI. The exact cause of the death is yet to be known. The filmmaker was not keeping well since a long time, a source close to the family told PTI. He was the co-founder of Filmalaya Studios and was best-known for helming films like Hum Hindustani and Leader, starring Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala. Mr Mukherjee also launched Rani Mukerji in the Bengali film Biyer Phool (1996).
बॉलीवुड एक्ट्रेस रानी मुखर्जी के पिता राम मुखर्जी का निधन रविवार सुबह 4 बजे हुआ. जानकारी के मुताबिक, राम मुखर्जी पिछले कई दिनों से मुंबई के एक अस्पताल में भर्ती थे. लंबी बीमारी के बाद हॉस्पिटल में उन्होंने आखिरी सांस ली. उनका पार्थिव शरीर जुहू स्थित घर में लाया जाएगा, इसके बाद दोपहर 3 बजे विले पार्ले स्थित श्मशान घाट में उनका अंतिम संस्कार किया जाएगा.
